Case Study

Yes I Start Up

The "Yes I Start Up" Project was born in 2018 in the framework of the Anpal/National Microcredit Agency agreement, also included by the OECD with the Youth Entrepreneurship Policy Academy (YEPA) project as a European reference model on self-entrepreneurship.

The project was organized and modified according to the needs of the Sicily Region. The objective of the project is to accompany new resources in the development of their entrepreneurial aptitudes in Sicily with the hope of relaunching employment and fighting unemployment through the creation of new entrepreneurship and facilitating access to national and/or regional funding measures already available. The training course enables the acquisition of knowledge and methodologies, to structure one's business idea in an accomplished manner by formalizing it in a business plan. In addition, participants will be guided in the examination of national and/or regional facilitation measures and assisted in the preparation of the additional documentation required to submit the funding application.

"Yisu Sicilia" is the supporting course for self-employment and self-entrepreneurship promoted by the Sicilian Region's Department for Education and Professional Training in institutional agreement with the National Microcredit Agency. The course lasts a total of 100 hours and is divided into two sections: a theoretical one focusing on skills analysis, development of soft skills, orientation, and strengthening of digital skills, and a second section of customized and technical-specialist assistance for the definition of the business plan.

The project represents an important opportunity for residents in Sicily who wish to start a business. The course, which is totally free of charge, offers participants all the skills and knowledge they need to realize their business project and access available funding.
